God of the valleys...
God of the valleys...
God of the Valleys
Are you feeling down today, are your world falling apart and you find yourself on the lowest point in your life even so low that you think that God wont help you because you are not "there"on the heights on this moment. Everything looks so hopeless and you just dont know anymore and tomorrow feels like it holds no future for you? Life really got a grip on you and you just cant get out of this valley anymore?
The devil really likes it when we are down in the valleys of our spiritual life and makes you believe that God is only a God from the heights and if you are not 'there" then He wont help you. Don't believe this lie
Read below: Benhadad is just like the devil himself:
1 Kings 20 King James Version (KJV)
20 And Benhadad the king of Syria gathered all his host together: and there were thirty and two kings with him, and horses, and chariots; and he went up and besieged Samaria, and warred against it.
2 And he sent messengers to Ahab king of Israel into the city, and said unto him, Thus saith Benhadad,
3 Thy silver and thy gold is mine; thy wives also and thy children, even the goodliest, are mine.
But benhadad could not succeed. the devil could not win and said that their God are gods of the hills.
23 And the servants of the king of Syria said unto him, Their gods are gods of the hills; therefore they were stronger than we; but let us fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they
28 And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the Lord, Because the Syrians have said, The Lord is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
29 And they pitched one over against the other seven days. And so it was, that in the seventh day the battle was joined: and the children of Israel slew of the Syrians an hundred thousand footmen in one day.
Don't ever believe the devil when he tells you that God is only a God of the hills and just because he said so you can be sure that God will deliver all your problems and you shall know that He is the Lord and God of the valleys too.
And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10 Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.2 Corinthians 12:9
Today I was thinking of the dead ends in our lives and the future of Gods people on this fast changing earth where Christians are persecuted and clearly the devil is loose on the earth and we are living the last days so how will we get through it, it just looks like everything came to a halt and there are no future anymore and I was kneeling in front of God with all my problems in mind. Then God showed me Moses and said to me:" that is Moses". I looked at Moses and then Moses took his staff and pointed me the way to go and he directly pointed the direction into a huge desert.
Well, this wasn't encouraging to me at all when I saw this at first. I thought by myself that I am in a desert and thought that Moses would point the way out of it but instead he showed me a direction further into the desert. A direction in a desert doesn't look like a direction at all, there are no vision other than desert sand and dunes as far as I could see so what is the direction of the direction then suppose to mean? What we don't see in the direction he showed is the promised land.
The Israelites were in Egipt and then God told Moses to lead them out. Wow, just stop here a moment, if someone came to me and said that he will lead us to a promised land and showed us the direction of a huge desert then we certainly would think that what promised land can there be in the direction of a desert?
The Israelites had faith in God and believed Him when He said he will lead them to the promised land and this is what we need when we are in the desert in our lives, we need to Trust God that He will provide for us and He want us not to worry about a single thing.
If we were in the Israelites shoes that day we would certainly asked a lot of questions:
1.) Where will we get food and water for we will be traveling through the desert for 40 years?
2.) What will happen in Moses die on us halfway in the desert, how will we ever get out of the desert then.
3.) Where will we sleep at night and where will we get clothes and shoes if our shoes are worn out?
4.) What will happen if one of us get sick, where will we find a doctor?
And we can add quite a lot of questions if we were in their situation.
When Moses pointed me into the direction of this huge desert I knew that God want us to trust in Him and Him alone for He will be our provision. Moses was determent when he pointed with his staff into the desert so how can I doubt and how can we doubt if God is with us.
If you are in the desert today, just follow Moses and trust God because He will lead us into the promised land.
We need to look further than the desert sand and dunes all around us, just look up to God, follow Him and give thanks to Him, praise His Name and worship the King of Kings, don't look around you, don't let anything take your eyes off from Jesus, be determent and full of faith for we are serving a Living God, even if you could fall off from the earth you still will be in His hands. Trust Him for today and tomorrow and never give up, just go and keep your eyes on Jesus and don't get dismayed with what is going on around you.
We are living the last days and will need our trust to be in Him for everything we need on our way to the promised land.
Even if our lives are in a constant desert we know that His prevision is enough. I was hoping that Moses would show me a direction to a Oasis but with Jesus in your life you have much more than a Oasis, you will drink from the river that runs from His Throne and will eat from the manna that will fall from the skies. He will strengthen you, even if our human bodies faint still our spirits are refreshed every day.
Live every day for Jesus for everyday is another day in eternity and where you spend eternity is something only you and the grace in Jesus can determine.
Give your life to Jesus and give your sorrows to Him, He will make a highway in the desert and will make rivers where there are none.
"Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert Isaiah 43:19
But now, thus says the LORD, your Creator, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! 2"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. 3"For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in your place. Isaiah 43:2
Since you are precious in My sight, Since you are honored and I love you, I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for your life. 5"Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, And gather you from the west. 6"I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' And to the south, 'Do not hold them back.' Bring My sons from afar And My daughters from the ends of the earth,…
You are My witnesses," declares the LORD, "And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me. 11"I, even I, am the LORD, And there is no savior besides Me. 12"It is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed, And there was no strange god among you; So you are My witnesses," declares the LORD, "And I am God.
Thus says the LORD your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, "For your sake I have sent to Babylon, And will bring them all down as fugitives, Even the Chaldeans, into the ships in which they rejoice. 15"I am the LORD, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King."
"I am the LORD, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King." 16Thus says the LORD, Who makes a way through the sea And a path through the mighty waters, 17Who brings forth the chariot and the horse, The army and the mighty man (They will lie down together and not rise again; They have been quenched and extinguished like a wick)
Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past
